Benton Hot Springs

Benton is a beautiful and quiet spot thats rich in mining history. The buildings in town date back to the late 1800's and the old cemetary, located on a hill overlooking the town, is one of our favorites!
Benton Hot Springs was a prosperous town in the late 1800's, with successful mining nearby on Blind Spring Hill. Cat and I took our friends Heidi (german sheppard), Ed (Heidi's person), and Ed's brother Pat on a hike to check out the mines on Blind Spring a couple years back.
We found some ruins of buildings, a couple of mines, TONS of mine tailings, some broken bottles, and a squirrel or two. And this very cool old safety pin!
