THE CARDINAL MINE

The Cardinal mine was a complete kick! Brad and Mike from the Outlaw Hummers off road club showed us around this area and Cat and I just loved it! Cat loved exploring the old cabins and the mine tunnels while I had fun chasing some lizards. However, I didnt catch one, Brad did!

These cabins were great for exploring! Some were older (the 20s?) and some were newer (the 70's?).

And this old bunkhouse was too much fun! Cat found that funny Delicious Chili sign and inside we found all kinds of junk/treasure.

Some of the cool stuff we found: an ore car, some late 30s graffiti, some cool bricks (Cat loves bricks) and this funny old parasol.

SQUIRREL BUTTONS GIVES THE PLACE A MUD BATH WHILE THE REST OF US WATCH AND ENJOY THE SHOW!

The Hummers and the Jeep made it up the old mining road no problem to this HUGE ore bin on top of the mountain. It had three ore car tressels that Cat and I had fun checking out.
