This place is our local favorite place to go and get a ghost town/mine fix. This is such a unique place! The locals keep this place up, repair the buildings, build woodburners for the cabins, and maintain a museum. This is one of the few places that actually gets better every time we visit!
The main camp has about 10 cabins, almost all of them are suitable to sleep in (we prefer the Hilton cabin and you can even find our picture in the log there). This is where the museum is located.
Upper Camp is about an hour hike up from the main camp, and the trail isn't real great. I had a great time, this place was CRAWLING with squirrels! Cat especially loves enjoying a quiet lunch sitting on one of the decks and enjoying the view out over the valley below.
