DE LAMAR, IDAHO

De Lamar was named after Captain Joseph De Lamar. The town supported a school, newspaper, stores, livery stables, a large boarding house and saloons. The building in the above photo is the assay office. Until the late 1970s the impressive boarding house stood along the road - another victim of time and the elements.
