THE DON ALVADORE MINE



Cat, Mike, Beaudry, our buddy Andrew and I visited the Don Alvadore mine together in August of 2002. Cat, Beaudry, GoatJim, John, Jen and Naked Mike revisited in 2007. It was a short hike in, some would call it a "pleasant walk".
The mine itself is short, and very wet. However, practically at the mouth of this mine is an ore cart in remarkable shape! Still rolls on the tracks, pivots and dumps.

We also visited the nearby Eire mine. This mine had one tunnel filled with pipe and wood planks and the other was half flooded.
