Cat and I have visited the site of Dunderberg and the Ward mining village numerous times over the years. Its one of our favorite spots!
Not much is left of the mill except crumbling red bricks and old wooden planks, but from the size of the area scattered with ruins you can just imagine its size!
The cabins are located high above the mill, at about 11,000 ft. We were here once in early August and it snowed several inches. There are three wooden cabins and a 5 stamp mill located here. The cabins were used by miners in the late 1800's and this meadow was called the Ward mining village.

These are carved into one of the beams on the 5 stamp mill - dated 1910
