LONGSTREET MINE

We had a blast exploring the Longstreet mine! The mine, started up by the infamous Jack Longstreet, still has quite a few pieces of interesting mining equipment on the site. According the Shawn Hall's book "Preserving the Glory Days", this mining camp was started up in 1907 but did not last out one full year. However, several small ventures were made here over the years, the last being in the 1940s.
