Masonic is a killer ghost town thats located on a great dirt road nearby Bridgeport, CA. Its on the same road as the Chemung Mine and Mill. Masonic has three sections, Upper Camp, Middle Camp, and Lower Camp. Upper Camp has only the mines and a couple of foundations where houses used to be. Middle Camp has a couple of cabins that have almost desintigrated into nothing and Lower Camp has the mill ruins and several cabins. There is also a tram still standing that starts at Upper Camp and the mine and ends at the top of the mill at Lower Camp. The tram line is easily hiked and quite interesting. Cat and I have been here a many times and we always find something new to explore.
