We visited Springville during our 3rd Annual Ghost Town Rally.
Springville was a coal mining town that was occupied from the early 1910's through about the mid 1950's.
Springville was a company town built and run by Jesse Knight, who was also responsible for other mining towns like Knightsville, Utah and Mangum, Nevada. Jesse was a religious man who didnt believe in drinking so Springville, along with the other towns Jesse built, was a dry town.
