SYLVANIA
Cat and I visited the site of Sylvania for the first time during the 2002 Ghost Town Rally with a small group of people including Cat's Dad, Uncle Jack and youngest brother Daniel.
Vandals had trashed the cabins. While the structures themselves are fine the insides had been completely ransacked. However, Sylvania was sold and the current owners have cleaned up the site considerably. All the cabins are now locked up tight so that vandals cannot once again ransack them
The two above photos show a smelter, retort and shaker tables set up on trucks. A mobile mill!
