Wallace, Idaho has the distinction of having every downtown building in the National Register of Historic Places. The first cabin was built here in 1884 by Colonel W.R. Wallace and today under 1000 people live here.
Wallace is a charming town and the locals were very friendly. Its the perfect spot to base camp if you are exploring the sites and the history of the Silver Valley.

While in Wallace we took the Sierra Silver Mine tour that also passes through the town with a narrated tour of historical Wallace. We learned alot from our very knowledgeable guide.
