WASHINGTON

Washington was first discovered in 1860 and a townsite, including saloons, a bakery, stores and more once stood here. Mining continued in the canyon till the 1930s.
Today not much remains of its colorfull history except a cabin, rock structures and the ruins of three mills. An ore bin and tram towers can be seen on one of the hillsides leading to one of the millsites.
