White Mountain City was a real surprise for us. We stopped here on our way home from a winter ghost town trip but we didnt expect to find much. White Mountain City was only populated for a short time in the mid 1800's.
But as we walked around the area we kept finding more rock foundations of homes, corrals, miles of rock wall and even an old arrastra! We also found several boulders covered with petroglyphs. This stop turned into several hours of exploring and we had a great time!
